Boat Transportation Services

We know that boats aren't the easiest things to move from place to place on dry land!

Consequently we have put together a series of Boat Transportation Services to assist you to have your new boat delivered to your door or get your boat to us for repairs & refurbishments and back again.

The Janousek & Stämpfli Triangle Transportation Service (Oxford/Cambridge/London)

  • A large number of our customers are based within the Oxford/Cambridge/London Triangle so we are launching on 20th August a service to collect and deliver boats within that Triangle which will operate every second Monday (If the Monday is a public holiday then the service will operate on the Tuesday).
  • Our qualified driver will collect and deliver boats to/from addresses within this triangle - or close to it.
  • All we ask is that you, or your nominated representative, are at the collection/delivery point to liaise with our driver. We do not collect or deliver boats unless there is a nominated person available to hand it over or receive it.
  • Our driver will call ahead to advise you of the estimated time of arrival.
  • All customers boats on our trailer are fully covered by our insurance.
  • There will be standard charges for each boat unit (singles/pairs & doubles/fours & quads will be one unit. Each section of an eight will be one unit).
  • The charges will be charged per single trip (e.g. from Cambridge to Janousek/Stämpfli).
    • The Boat Unit charges for the Triangle Service will be:
    • Cambridge to or from Janousek/Stämpfli premises in Byfleet £80.00 exc. VAT
    • Oxford to or from Janousek/Stämpfli premises in Byfleet £55.00 exc. VAT
    • London to or from Janousek/Stämpfli premises in Byfleet £25.00 exc. VAT

The Janousek & Stämpfli Ad Hoc Transportation Service

  • Our qualified delivery driver is available to collect and/or deliver your boat anywhere in the UK and Ireland.
  • Your boat will be carefully wrapped to protect it and it will be fully insured by us during the period it is in our care.
  • All we ask is that you are at the delivery point so that our driver can hand the boat and all details to you. We do not deliver boats unless there is a nominated person available to receive it.
  • Our driver will call ahead to advise you of the estimated time of arrival.
  • Our charge for this service is £0.75p per mile for the return journey plus a delivery fee of £20 per hour or part hour of driving time. We will prepare an accurate estimate for you based on the AA Route Planner on their website. You can obtain this yourself from their website. www.theaa.com/travel
  • Alternatively, if there is a Regatta near to your delivery point and we will be in attendance, we will deliver the boat to the Regatta for you or your nominated representative to arrange onward transportation.
  • All customers boats on our trailer are fully covered by our insurance.

  • Shared Collection or Delivery
  • We have a number of customers daily who are delivering or collecting boats from our factory.
  • When we have such customers who are travelling close to your delivery point we can, subject to your agreement, contact them and check whether they are able and willing to deliver your boat.
  • If they agree to do this then we will put the two parties in contact with each other and let you both make your own arrangements.
  • All we ask is that you keep us advised of any such arrangements to ensure that we do not release your boat from the factory without your approval.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your boat is insured if this method is used.

Collection or Delivery of Boats from or to Janousek/Stämpfli Premises

  • If you, or your nominated representative, wish to collect your boat from or deliver your boat to our premises please agree with us a suitable date and time (not Saturday afternoons, Sundays or Bank Holidays please!).

Payment for the boat or repair

  • In all the above cases we would like to remind you that full payment of the boat, repairs and any delivery charges must be settled prior to the boat leaving our premises.
