Doubles / Pairs
Janousek offers three different hulls for double sculls and pairs, Janousek JS, Janousek JL and Janousek JV. All hulls are built using layers of glass-fibre and carbon-fibre with honeycomb sandwich, cured at 120°C.
The type of boat you order will depend upon crew type, experience and weight.
Janousek JS 2x/-
The Janousek JS double/pair is designed around the World famous boat builder Klaus Filter's first design of the FISA Short Mould. Over the years Janousek have added innovation to the design. The hull is shorter in length than other hull shapes and designed to be rowed smoothly, with minimal pitching at the catch and finish of the stroke. The hull shape is recognised as the fastest shape worldwide for crews ranging from 55kg-80kg, making it suitable for lightweight, women and junior athletes.
This shape is available as a double, pair or double/pair convertible. The Janousek JS is available in 5 different hull sizes to accommodate crews with a 5kg average weight allowance.

The Janousek JL hull is also wider and deeper for larger crews, making it more comfortable to sit. The extra length and width makes this a fast shape for heavyweight athletes.
